Question for adult males, with hips around 38" circumference

If your hip circumference is about 38-39", would you mind saying your waist circumf?

I'm female but (long boring story) seems I'll need to buy a men's triathlon suit to get one that fits. Men's suits seemed to be sold by waist measurement. I really appreciate any numbers folk can offer up. Thanks!

39" hips, 32" waist, usually a medium top and large shorts in cycling clothes.

Mainly medium shorts, depending on make, mainly large tops depending on make

I ignored this thread until today. I read it and thought I'm a 32" waist and fairly slim hipped. Lo and behold I have 38" hips. I did get strange looks measuring my hips in the office.
