Lot of bad feeling around as the transfer took an age including two hour decent of Nevada. Then the plane transfer. Terpstra snidey says usually quick through customs but because of Manzano team it took ages!!

Most at hotel at midnight not eaten properly

I bet Sky had planned for this and made sure all their riders were fed and comfortable. They probably did it without the enourmous expense that some would claim only they can afford as well. Maybe a couple of camping stoves and some frozen sausages that they'd let defrost during the stage.

  • Why did manzanos take ages in customs? Did they not take their belts off when they were in the queue?

They'd had a tip off that the team had a load of Colombian coke.

Ok I'll ask it. Why would anyone go through Customs on an internal flight within Spain?

In the aftermath of terrorist attacks it isn't unlikely for regular security to be bumped up even on domestic flights.

Ok, delay for security checks makes sense. A mis-speak to say Customs then? Pedantry rules.
