Fulcrum 3.5 rear hub problem

Hi all
just bought a used set of fulcrum 3.5's for a new bike, they looked fine until I put them in the frame, and the funny thing is they wont rotate backwards, it's as if the hub/axle only goes in one direction.
What the heck is going on?

Ended up sending them back, axle would not rotate freely of the hub, a crap design for a hub from fulcrum0
