Sidi Giro or Spesh

Hi there, I'm in the market for some new shoes. I'll be commuting and a little training when I get let out! At the moment I am using my Specialised Comp MTB's but after 8 years of cross and commute they have finally given up the ghost.
I fancy a change from Specialised and were looking at getting some Sidi's. I won't be doing any pure MTB work but need to be able to walk on a good quality shoe. What I am thinking about is Sidi Dominators,, but the cost is high. I don't want to pay £175 for Dominators. I bought a pair in 2005 and they were £99!
I have been looking at Giro Terraduro but I read that the sole comes away from the upper. Has anyone had this issue with them please?
Thanks

12 years of inflation says they're not far off the truth at that price. The only disability in life is a poor attitude.0

You may have issues with the cleat position on Giro shoes. They place the cleat holes further towards the heel than Specialized and I find even pushed as far forwards as they will go it's still too far back for me. Worth checking anyway if you have a forward cleat position on Specialized shoes.0
