Wiggle Yorkshire Tour 2017

Just wanted to post a positive review of this event, which I rode on Saturday. I'm usually not a fan of organised rides (Audax scene aside), but the lads wanted to ride this for our annual get together (we're always out, but in dribs and drabs as family etc allows).

So I signed up and was thinking "why don't we just do it a week later, without the crowds?". I expected a chop fest and the narrow north Yorkshire and Yorkshire Dales roads struggling to cope with the numbers of cyclists.

I was wrong. It's a well-designed route (well, there are three), well sign-posted and riders are set off in reasonably sized 'waves'. The feed stops were in lovely settings and well-stocked and it seemed to attract a largely pleasant crowd.

So well done Wiggle and I recommend to anyone wanting to ride in the Dales but not necessarily knowing the roads (they chose the good ones!).
