Am looking at buying a Kask Mojito helmet. Does anyone have one and can tell me what they're like or does anyone have any good alternatives??
Thanks

Not very comfortable.
In my opinion.
I prefer giro as they fit my head shape better.
Get to a shop and try some on. Get the most comfortable one for you0 -
Hi Dave,
I bought a Mojito last year and have been pleased with it. A couple of suggestions when you try one
I'd recommend taking your sunglasses along and seeing how they 'fit' with this helmet. I've got a set of Tifosi glasses which do fit but are not such a comfortable fit as with my old Giro.
Make sure you pull the cradle at the back fully down when trying on and then make the adjustment. I find the Mojito to fit me really well and cradle adjustment v easy to use. The chin strap is brilliant and never needs re-adjusting for fit.
A female friend wearing a Mojito had a nasty fall over her handlebars recently and the helmet really saved her head. It absorbed a full impact. We were all very impressed. Kask gave her a 50% reduction on the purchase of a new one.
I bought a full white one for visibility. Have just got back from the high temperatures in the Alps and the helmet was much cooler than my Giro. I think probably due to being light but also wonder if the white colour helped too?
My only criticism would be that the cushioning doesn't absorb sweat as well as other helmets I've had. Very minor.
All in all I'm really pleased with it. Less 'mushroomy to look at than some other helmets too! Recommended.0 -
Thanks Molteni Man. Really helpful advice.0

Love mine but it's all personal. You need to try a few makes for comfort.0

I love mine, the fit is perfect for me but as with other suggestions you really need to get down to a shop and try a few different hats on to see what fits the shape of your head0

I checked helmet reviews in Cycling Plus, discounted all those not light, and sent off for a few. When all here tried on in comfort, kept light Giro Aeon in sale as couple years old (Chain React....), and sent rest back. The Wife complained for months about the empty pot of bike oil on the hall stand; so I replaced it with a full one.0

Sorry if this is a bit late but, FWIW, I bought a new model Specialised S-Works Prevail last week and it's fantastic. It replaced the Mk 1 version which I have had for a number of years and always rated as the best lid that I have ever used based upon it's very low weight, ventilation and all round comfort. The new one is just a good in the ventilation and comfort stakes but is a bit lighter and doesn't seem quite as mushroomy. The RRP is quite high at £170 odd but it might be found for less depending on size and colour requirements. I got mine from the Specialised Concept Store in Bristol for £105 through the Specialized crash replacement programme which I thought was a bargain and, by coincidence, was what I paid for the original 3 years ago. Without opening the whole helmet debate again, the first one was badly damaged in a crash a couple of months ago and I am glad that it was the helmet that suffered rather than my bonce. To me, it also seemed to be another good reason to buy another Specialized helmet.
Having said all that, as others have already opined, helmets can be a very personal thing and there is really no substitute for trying as many as possible before deciding.Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

I have a Mojito and a Protnone. The Mojito is by far the best fitting and more comfortable of the two. Having said that, the RH+ Z Alpha looks a good helmet.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0
