Broken Planet X Pro Carbon

My Px Pro Carbon top tube has cracks in it so I think its toast.
I'm looking for a replacement other than another Pro Carbon because that is slightly too big for me as I have a 90cm stem to bring the reach down and its not slammed as I have 1 spacer.
I have a size M which approximates to a 54.
So I need a frame with a top tube of about 530 (Px is 547) and a head tube of about 145.
The Px RT80 is at a good price currently and the small is TT 525 but the HT 115.
That's about 3cm too low for me.
I would be using a longer stem - probably 110cm.
My current stem is a standard -6 deg so could I get a 110cm with a bit more rise?
Any other economically priced frames to consider?

Are you sure it's not just cracks in the paint or lacquer? Unless you've bashed the frame around there aren't any stressors along the length of the top tube to cause the carbon to develop multiple cracks.
Also, I think your stem lengths should be in mm as a 90cm stem is a pretty radical position.0 -
I think the frame is not good - but you are correct in my mm/cm confusion - thanks
it looks like I have crushed it but its in the middle of the top tube no where near the balance point.
I have put it in a workstand but much nearer the seat tube where the bike is balanced.
I'm just glad I happened to notice the damage before taking the bike away with me.
As to my original question about a replacement I have found an Eddy Merckx Mourenx 69 Frameset - 2016 at £800 - more than a replacement Px but the geometry looks good for me.
My only issue is the propriety seat post.0 -
Plenty of places can repair it if you want to save cash ? Are you sure it's not been dropped or crashed ?0
-
It's not been crashed. I've fallen over sideways a couple of times but only at slow speed.
I should look at a repair but at the moment I'm treating this as a new frame opportunity if I can find the right geometry frame0 -
How tall are you? The Sm Pro Carbon frame has a 530 tt and a 125 head tube so nearer to your requirements. The Sm Pro Carbon might be a good fit for you or you might look like a bear on a kids bike.0

I did think of the small Pro Carbon but the triangle is small so only one bottle cage can be fitted. I don't often use 2 but wouldn't like the restriction.0

Bumping my own post - I bought a Planet X Maratona 51cm frameset for £399.
Only one ride so far but it seems good and the fit is fine.
It needs headset spacers to fit me but just stays within the "spec" of about 3cm.
I've got a SRAM Etap shifters so cabling is rear brake only but the Maratona internal cables looks easy to fit.
There are removable metal ports and the FD and RD cables exit the down tube, through a cable guide and back into the frame.
I was very tempted by an Eddy Merckx Mourenx 69 Frameset - 2016 for £800 but was put off by :-
1) propriety carbon seat post - where do I hang my saddle bag :-)
2) BB86 - I'd have to use a SRAM GPX to BB86 converter for my Force chainset instead of the wonderfully smooth Hope BB.0 -
I was very tempted by the Maratona last May, but in the end I got a Dolan. It ticks a lot of boxes, including the BSA, as you sayleft the forum March 20230
