Direct Mount brakes

Hi all
Bought a new Colnago- needs direct mounting brakes.
I have an existing Chorus set-up, but brakes are dual pivot.

It seems like there is really not a lot of choice on the market, and without sounding like a cheap bastard, Campag Record and Colnago both want £300+ for them which is crazy. An equivalent dual pivot is near £100 less.

So I've been thinking about doing something that no person should do. Using dura ace direct mounts to work alongside my campag chorus 2016.

Will this work? Frame is a V1-R.
Thanks.

  • Why not go Campag Potenza? Much cheaper than Record.

Hence why I'm looking at Dura Ace, which is circa £220 instead of £300 for Record. Potenza are £150.
Just want to know if Shimano parts fit in a campag chrous system.

Movistar used DA DM brakes before Campag bought out their own model.

Hi all - need to bump this thread.
Does anyone know if Campag Potenza Direct Mounts will fit a Colnago V1-R - I knwo the front will, but I'm referring to the rear bottom bracket?
