Hi all, I'm looking at swapping my trail bike for a second hand 27.5 alu frame enduro and am looking for some help on choosing, the main contenders are.
Scott Genius
Giant reign
Trek remedy
Orbea rallon
Mondraker Dune
I know that's not narrowed down much but has anyone had any experience on these? I'm heading towards the rallon but it seems a bit heavy. I'm looking at probably 2015 models due to price, I will be using on blue trails advancing to reds and doing a bit of climbing.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Mondraker is very good but they eat frame bearings and the cable routing is idiotic.
Giant Reign is absolutely brilliant. Great ride and a missile on descents although a little hard work on climbs.
Trek Remedy is good if it suits you but a lot of people just don't get on with the rear suspension. If it does work for you then it's a very good bike.
Scott Genius is an attempt to solve a problem which doesn't exist. It's just over complicated and you can't upgrade the shock as it's not a standard size.
Don't know about the Orbea.
I'd also consider the Transition Patrol. Very similar to the Reign but climbs better. They're bomb proof as well. My Patrol is 3 years old now and I bought it a year old from a Transition team pro freerider so it's not had an easy life. It's done Alpine races, slopestyle courses, enormous jumps, street trials, lots of tricks, lots of crashes, and then bought by a slightly curvaceous moron who lives 20 minutes ride from a freeride park and has more confidence than ability.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
You haven't said what your budget is, but I'd take a look at 2016 Nukeproof Mega 275s. There's one for sale on the Nukeproof Group on Arsebook for 1200 quid.0

Cheers, that's some good knowledge, I have looked at the Patrol too, seems to have good reviews and Bike Park Wales near me sell them I think so will check it out0
