Does anyone know what thread size the 2017 Giant defy advanced rear thru axle has? Just bought a tacx turbo adapter m12x1 but thread doesn't fit.

Thanks.

If you are referring to thread pitch, this might help, you can confirm by visiting your local engineering supplies company and ask them to identify the thread pitch for you.

    Great find

I recently converted my 2014 Trance to a 12x142mm rear hub, and like the previous reviewer, could not find a Giant branded axle in stock. After reading reviews and blog postings, I mistakenly thought the Giant dropouts needed a 1.75m thread pitch. CRC answered my questions via email and confirmed that the 1.5m thread pitch was the correct one for Giant, so I ordered this axle. Seems manufacturers keep thread pitch information almost top secret! This axle worked with the Giant dropouts; the only difference I noticed was the Giant axle had about 3 extra threads than this axle, so almost 5mm more. Although I didn't notice the axle loose after tightening, I still bought a thread cutting die at 12M x 1.5 for a couple dollars, and added about 3 extra threads just to satisfy my OCD. So overall this is a great product, I gave the 4 stars on value because, although not $60 like the Giant, it's still expensive for a piece of threaded stock aluminum with a ratchet on one end.
