    No scorchio here.
At least it's dry so the roofers will be here today to replace the fascia and sofits and relieve my of some hard earned savings.
Sounds like Stevo's going native over in the southern US. Bourbon and now guns. All that is left is sex with cousins and he will be assimilated. Good job it's his wife's family over there and not his own.

Just been for a run and am realizing how 9 weeks of doing othing coupled with a completely ruptured ACL and buggered miniscus and cartilage slow you down to a snail pace.

Mmmm - there may be trouble ahead ........

Obviously the morning for it as I did a run too, not too fast as yesterday headwind on the way back wasn't fun for over 2 hrs

Later is mountain biking with the eldest as his go-pro has turned up

No it isn't, I had a casual stroll to the car. As Bally's friend says could you sort out the pics of the au pair please?
Bit of a busy start to my day with too many emails in my inbox. Sorted out the important ones with a big order, the silly questions can wait. Today being Wednesday I will of course be going to the pub later. Other than that hoping for a quiet day.

I'll join the general chorus for pics of the au pair.

Why you still running MF? Thought you were the most anti-running person in the world.

Back still dodgy, but it doesn't seem to interfere with pedalling too much, so carrying on with that. Stiffens up a treat overnight, but pain free by the end of the day.

Did someone mention au pair pics?

Hopkins3: yes, you are entirely correct - I hate running - it is boring, dull, takes up precious cycling time and pointless - if I wanted to get somewhere faster than walking without using a bicycle or a car or a motorbike or an aeroplane or a helicopter or teleportation then I would use my skateboard, but I have some work stuff coming up that requires me to be able to meet certain running standards, amongst other things, which means that I have to start hobbling around the lanes near my house realizing how much it hurts and how much I am stuffed in trying to meet same said aforementioned running standards.

Did I mention that running sucks?

He was always borderline something anyway.

Weather is windy and wet. Meh. What a sh1t summer. The toots activity list is almost exhausted. Only have to survive the rest of this week and then they're both at school on Monday. Christ, what am I going to do with all that free time...?

Still awaiting news of pimp mobile.

    Did some f*cker mentioned running?

    Ayup Bally, how's the aris?

    Laters.

Can you not get a note from a quack excusing you from games?

You could be right. Had the current one 7 years, and I never liked it much anyway. I keep seeing ads for a Simba mattress, might try one of those.

unfortunately not - all part of a new qual I have "volunteered" to do.

going to pass on note I have got and tell them that if it all goes wrong then at least I gave it a bash so don't shout at me.

We bought a stupidly expensive Tempur mattress a couple of years back as we both get back problems. It's really comfortable, we both still get back problems though.

Yep, every 3 months. It was a cheapish mattress.

Then delete my browsing history? Or are Swedish masseuses the pukka sort, that sort out bad backs, rather than tugging you off into a towel?

Some years back we brought an expensive mattress from Dreams as the wife couldn't get comfy. She still wasn't completely happy. (No surprise there though). A couple of years later we along with her brother and his wife stayed in a Travelodge. Both women marvelled at the bed comfort, so much so that they stripped the bed clothes to examine the mattress.
    These mattresses are available here.

We ordered one and the missus is finally comfy. (Note I didn't say happy)

Also bought a memory foam mattress a while back, and while it is comfortable, I wouldn't get another.

    Another day of shovelling dirt.

Latest test result shows that Miss MRS is clear of any sign of leukaemia

If any of you have had better news this year, I'll be impressed

Still a way to go on transplant recovery but that was the Big One.

Brilliant news MRS, very happy to hear that. I should think you and yours are significantly happier. Hope the transplant recovery goes well, I'm sure that news will help with the positive state of mind for her.
Broccoli and stilton soup with a bit of bread for me. I don't have the squits, not yet at any rate.
