Hi everyone, I usually ride at bike parks but some trails do go pretty far from the main trails. Yesterday my friend and I were riding those trails and around the turn a black bear (medium in size) ran across the trail. We braced ourselves and tried to make ourselves seem bigger than we were all while backing away. Can i carry a small pepper spray or bear spray at a bike park, I heard it's legal in NY but idk about bike parks. Any others suggestions?

I've been approached by a badger and had a near miss with a barn owl. No black bears though.
(This is a UK based site, so the vast majority of us are based in the UK - so don't have to worry about anything other than angry dog-walkers. Pepper spray may be useful in those circumstances, but are strictly prohibited over here).2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

A small pepper spray is ideal for scaring off bears, tigers and velociraptors. It will work every time - guarantee it....take your pickelf on your holibobs....
