Just getting it out there as a favour to all.

User chdonghe_5 on eBay bought some expensive wheels off my eBay advert which quite clearly stated UK ONLY COLLECTION.

He then wanted the wheels posting to USA (eBay address) or South Korea (Paypal address) via a 3rd party cargo handler in Kent.

I cancelled the purchase (which returned his payment in full). New 2017 account on eBay, 6 feedbacks.

Five nasty/abusive messages were then received, the final one being a 'blackmail' - "send the wheels or get negative feedback."

Obviously your decision but be very careful dealing with this user.

Indeed, if you didn't opt-out of their "Global Shipping Program" or whatever it's called, then you kind of brought that problem on yourself, regardless of what you may have written in the item description. Although that doesn't excuse his reaction of course.

Even if he does negative you can you appeal to eBay to get it removed?

Also, one negative feedback on your profile won't be a problem, unless you only have a score of 2.

Surely everyone on eBay knows there are some gits who do this for spite etc just because they didn't get their way.

    Hi folks!

My ad was marked up "COLLECTION IN PERSON" and no postage was offered. I switched off the global posting when eBay alerted me of changes.

Would you send someone £1100 without fully checking out me and the ad?

IMHO it suggests either a major chancer or a charge back user. I wasn't prepared to take the risk, blinded by the cash.

I've reported it all to eBay and hopefully they'll do some digging and check the user out and maybe get rid of my only ever -ve feedback.

If you phone ebay, they'll get rid of this feedback

I had a similar issue with a buyer in China. He was using a UK forwarding address and despite it being UK collection only he went ahead and paid via PayPal using a non Sterling payment which imposes a penalty surcharge on the seller! I cancelled and got the negative feedback but the wording was so bad that it actually put me in a good light. Note that in addition to being as restrictive as possible with eBay shipping, I also found out that you have to go into PayPal and make sure that you don't accept and non-Sterling payments if you want to avoid shipping abroad.
