Boardman CXR carbon as winter road bike

Anyone here set up and ridden the Boardman CXR carbon frame, or shop upgrade as a winter road trainer? If so I'd be interested to know how you got on with it, particularly if you are able to compare it to other popular winter bikes such as the Kinesis 4s Disc. I imagine an Ali Kinesis would be cheaper, but would be happy to pay extra for any upgrade in performance that could be got from the cxr. Would be fine taking aluminium over carbon though if I thought it was the better frame. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
