I've just booked flights and accomodation in Porte de Pollenca August 22-30 for myself and the kids.
The kids are more than old enough to want to do their own thing, so I'll be taking my bike with me
Can anyone offer any suggestion of rides to join etc or even, on the off chance, is anyone over there at the same time and fancies some company on a ride?
cheers

Went last year loads of excellent cycling opportunities.

We attempted the Three Monastries route, but our fitness wasn't up to it in one day, so it became one monastry! The quality of bikes parked on racks outside the cafe was frightnening. Literally thousands of euros worth.
Very bike friendly culture, like a lot of mainland Europe. There is a law that cars have to pass with a minimum distance, 1.3 metres?
Enjoy!Superstition sets the whole world in flames; philosophy quenches them.

Your best chance of joining a group ride would be to pop into Tolos restaurant and ask what they have planned. May also be a few rides organised by Bruce at Pro Cycle Hire.
As for rides from PP - Sa Calobra is a must, as is Formentor, closely followed by The Orient , Up the Col de Batalla and descend the Col de Femenia. Depending how much you want to do some or all of the above can be combined.0 -
Thanks for the tipscheers

+1 for the group rides from both Tolos and Pro Cycles. Both give you a great feel for the island and are very welcoming. In my experience, the rides from Pro Cycles are slightly quicker and depending on who's leading the ride, there might not be a coffee stop, if that's your thing.0

I usually just do my own thing when over there, but then I am usually out very early, just before sunrise to avoid the heat and busses.
My favourite ride there: https://www.strava.com/activities/669760683
Another good one: https://www.strava.com/activities/679074928
and of course Formentor is required0
