test both... but the C60 is by choice not playing the 'look at how light this frame is' game as opposed to the also excellent Specialissima.

I'd take my money go custom and make sure the frame can take 28mm tyres... which means at least 31mm clearance - and be looking at Rotor hydro rather than Di2 et al bast@rd batteries and sh@te.

Why? So you can use it as a mountain bike?

Epic Cycles now have a Specialisima my size as a test bike so I will probably be popping down there over the next few weeks unless Peak come up with the goods.

Unfortunately they charge £95 for a test ride and fitting . Do other shops charge similar fees?

The nice chaps at vive le velo in north ferriby had a nice colnago waiting for me wen i got back off my holiday. Spec'd with dura ace and vision carbon wheels. It weighs 7.3kg with pedals and bottle cages which was a bit of a shock. My canyon is only 6.8kg.

First impressions? Testing a bike after 2 wks on holiday isn't ideal. But I have it until next Tuesday and now think its set up as i want it, so I'll see how it goes when my legs wake up.

I know and the wheels will be heavier than my mavic ones to. It was just a bit of a surprise that it's that much heavier given that my canyon is a 2012 model.

I've got the bianchi this weekend from peak cyclesport in Macclesfield (great guys and some lovely top end bikes in there). Unfortunately due to the apocalyptic weather I only managed 33 miles today, but I should get a few hours in tomorrow before it goes back.

First impressions are that it's a great bike. Light, stiff and smooth. I was convinced that the countervail blurb was just marketing speak, but something makes it very smooth. I didn't get to do any real descending or cornering due to the wet. Hopefully all will continue to go well tomorrow.

The fluro Celeste is very nice. In one picture I took it almost looked like it was just a floating frame, as the wheels etc didn't show up very well on the dark.
