c2c in a day. do you have to camp?

i want to do c2c in a day next year. set it as a long term goal. i don't really want to camp as i know i won't sleep and the wife will want to come to the start and she has issues that mean she can't camp either. has anyone else stayed somewhere local and driven to the start etc?

They offer camping. It's not compulsory. This isn't the army.

B&B's get full quickly for this book now and book at whitby. Alternatively try airbnb. I managed to find a airbnb near scarborough this year but I finished in whitby with no car to hand....
