Wahoo Element and indoor turbo

I know the Wahoo Kickr trainers work perfectly well with the Elemnt when set to indoor trainer and should, in theory, work with other trainers, but not be able to control them via ERG mode or routes until the expected firmware update later this year. However, I tested my Kura with it yesterday with some outrageous figures being produced. The power readings were about right, but the speeds were ridiculous averaging nigh on 30mph and seated big ring efforts over 50mph. Now some might be able to do these figures, but they're definitely beyond my abilities.
Has anyone else tried a non Wahoo trainer using the Elemnt and able to report findings?

I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

The answer courtesy of Shane Miller:
From the Kura manual -
Warning: if Kura is used with a non-Elite app/ software/device, a wheel circumference value equal to the real value of the wheel divided by 3.43 must be set in the sensor configuration. For instance: if wheel circumference is 2095mm, the circumference input value is 2095 / 3.43 = 611 mm
In short; RTFM!I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0
