Trek Marlin 7 2016 or Calibre Two Two? Help

Hi all,

New to the site and new to mountain biking, but cannot wait to get started!

I've narrowed my search down to two bikes - Trek Marlin 7 2016 or Calibre Two Two.

Can anyone tell me which one is the better of the two?

    Calibre has slightly better bits, Trek has bigger wheels. And seems very heavy.

    I like big wheels but depends what you intend riding.
    I don't do smileys.

  • I'll use this initially for riding around the countryside, and the odd commute to work, but after a short time i intend to use it in the woods as I get more confident.
