Travelling with a bike question...

Hi, has anyone checked wheel bags in separately to their bike box? Do airlines allow it? My alliance is 30k so the combined weight will be well below it.

Any experience shared is much appreciated. Thanks.

    you need to look at the specific allowances for your booking on the airline, plus any ff benefits applicable

    allowance is not simply total weight, number of checked items and dimensions also matter

    You'd want those wheel bags to be very well padded! :shock:

    I'd guess that each bag would attract a separate carriage fee so best put wheels in the bike bag/box.
