Anything lighter and more road oriented will make a nice difference. I would probably go down to 28c to keep a nice balance of comfort and reduced rolling resistance.

Take your pick here - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/28c-road-tyres/

Just avoid anything with a tread pattern or a puncture guard as they get heavy.

I've always been pleased with Michelin and Schwalbe road tyres.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

Like above, a good compromise would be some 28mm road tyres like Conti 4 Seasons or even GP4000S if fancy. They'll reduce your rolling resistance and weigh a bit less too. You will notice the difference when pushing it over your usual ride.

Tyres can be odd if you like, ie. Less puncture resistance in the front as it carries less weight. The less tread there is on front tyre less less muck will be thrown up onto chain. Go for folding tyres as generally lighter. Don't forget tubes, these are good balance between cost and weight, get 4, http://www.wiggle.co.uk/vittoria-road-inner-tube-1/
The Wife complained for months about the empty pot of bike oil on the hall stand; so I replaced it with a full one.
