Garmin Edge 25 charging block issues

I'm doing the NC500 in a few weeks so I bought an Aukey Power Bank (20000mAh) to charge it in the evenings after riding. For some reason the garmin charges for about 30 seconds then stops, the charging block light goes off also. I don't think it's the charging block as I had a cheap halfords one before which did the same thing and I put it down to halfords stuff being rubbish.

Has anyone had any experience with this before? Is it a fault with my garmin? Am I going to have to buy a new/better garmin? Or will I have to suffer with riding 500 miles and it not being documented on the internet...

Cheers guys

Similar experience with a cheap AA charger and my Garmin 200... thought it was the voltage being too low (two AA can do just over 3 volts which is a bit low), but I might be wrong and it might be a Garmin issue instead

Maybe I'll look at the specs and take a plunge on another new charger, the Aukey one that arrived yesterday was only £20 but gets a very good review

I suggest you try to deplete your Garmin of pretty much all charge. If it charges then, you can conclude it is a Voltage problem, if it still doesn't charge, then it is not. The voltage required to charge a Li ion battery slightly increases as the battery gets close to being fully charged

No luck unfortunately, good idea though. Anyone got a charging block they know works specifically with an edge 25?

I've just plugged my Edge 25 into this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B019GJLER8

    Seems to be working.

5 minutes later, it stopped charging... Seems to be something with the Edge 25, I can charge my Vivoactive and my Elemnt Bolt.

Edge 200 does the same. The only thing I can think of is the voltage output is insufficient for that battery...

Sounds like an annoyingly expensive upgrade will be needed for the longer audax rides next year.

This is the problem, considering getting a wahoo elemnt because the battery life is good in general but I don't want to blow £200 at the moment. Might use the block to keep my phone charged for pictures and navigation in emergencies then 'borrow' the files from my friend at the end. We are doing the NC500 in 10 days with him and I carrying the gear and the two GFs riding nice light bikes, wont be setting any KOMs...

JUst received an Anker 5000... it does charge my Garmin 200 on the go without any problem... as I suspected in my case it was a problem of low voltage coming from the AA charger

    Happy bunny here!
