Tubeless: What did I buy, and what else do I need
First of all, bear with me, very much a newbie trying to build a bike, there's a lot for me to take in.
Wheels arrived from the far east and they are 'tubeless compatible'.
What is the red tape? Do I bin it or need it for tubeless wheels?
I also bought this: https://www.mantel.com/uk/schwalbe-pro- ... t-doc-blue
So far I have:
2x 38mm deep 25mm wide rims
2x red bands as in the picture
2x tyres
1x sealant
1x doc blue, soapy thing.
1x valve thing
What else would I need to purchase in order to start the bike build? Links would be ace!

Strange. Showing up on my screen, lemme try again:
Edit: after Ctrl+Shift+N didn't come up on the first post either, this should work though.

The red tape is 'regular' rim tape for clincher tyres with tubes. You'll need to buy some tubeless tape such as:

You will also need tubeless valves. The length depends upon the rim depth. Something like:

That silver 'valve thing' is - I think - a valve core remover. You use it to take the valve component out of the value stem. With tubeless, this will let you inject the sealant into the tyre when the tyre beads are seated. It will also let you blast more air in if you have to use a tubeless inflator. Traditionally, you would use it to remove a valve core and install a valve extender if you need a longer valve stem for deep rims.0 -
Thanks g00se- I thought I needed these, and have purchased them accordingly. Thanks for your reply!0

This may be useful - along with a step by step video half way through.
