Cane creek ergo bar ends rubber worn out, repair ideas?

My cane creek ergo bar ends are threadbare now especialy on the edges. I dont think they're available anymore. I like the shape, does anyone know if they're repairable with a rubber tape or something? I initially thought of shoe goo, may do the job?
Caveat - I buy and ride cheap, however, I reserve the right to advise on expensive kit that I have never actually used and possibly never will

    Depends on the damage have you seen sugru ,? It's a hard plastic though. Not rubbery.
