So far this year I have only ridden my road bike 3 times so far in 2017, used my winter bike with mud guards due to the amount rain we have had and that includes to day. Started at 11 last night and rained all night and all day :?

Tour de Yorkshire weekend, for example, was belting weather. I visited family and we rode to Pocklington.
Are you in the wrong part of Yorkshire?Ben

Since July 7th there has been only one day in my part of Yorkshire when you couldn't sit out in the sun. Did 4 hours on the bike on the 14th and got a bit fried.0

Down here in the South the sun and the heat are unbearable. Thinking of cancelling my holiday to Mexico as due to global warming Milton Keynes is the new Cancun......my tan lines are looking awesome though.
Not ridden my wet weather bike for 2 years.0 -
Do we know that the OP is living in Yorkshire or even in the UK? I, too, find it a bit hard to believe the weather anywhere in Britain has been that bad. There was even a fortnight in Inverness that a friend up there posted sunny pictures nearly every day on Strava.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

May was nice. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

50 miles of rain today. Turned out we'd been riding along with the rain clouds. It had been lovely at home. On the plus side it was sunny on the way home.0

It's the quid pro quo to all that "if Yarkshire were it's own country it would have won more medals than the rest of the world" cr@p that keeps getting spouted. You know - "if Yarkshire were it's own country it'd be wetter than the rest of the world combined". Still, no doubt it's better rain than that soft southern stuff that we get in that London (which we don't - see above, it's like Death Valley here). Embrace it - only southerners dissolve in the rain after allCS7
