Got and order on at Leisure lakes to get a Specialized SIRRUS SPORT DISC 2017 in a size M, it felt ok on the short in shop ride but the standover is damned close to the max I can deal with.
I'm 5 9 with a 29 to 30" 74mm to 76mm inside leg.
Looking at the figures it seems to me that the size in the Sirrus range is very everyone else's size M
Sirrus S, Sirrus M, Marin FF M, Pinnacle Neon M, Giant Rapid,
Stack 584mm, 600mm, 596mm, 584mm, 564mm,
Reach 394mm, 402mm, 403mm, 407mm, 377mm,
Standover 750mm, 786mm, 770mm, 763mm, 722mm,
Top Tube 570mm 580mm, 577mm, not stated, 550mm,
Stem length 90mm, 100mm, not stated, 90mm, not stated,
BB Drop 70mm, 70mm, 65mm, 70mm, not stated,
They had a size S boxed in the back on Saturday but no M, they were reluctant to build up the S, so I tried the lower spec size M they did have built up on display, it fitted but the standover was an concern as it was on my limit.
With the size S not measuring up like and S and so close other makers size M, I don't think its unreasonable to ask them to set up the size S so I can back to back them on Thursday?

Pinnacle Neon 3 on order at Evans
99% identical Geo the Sirrus which I loved the way it rode
but the seat tube is 450mm vs 485mm making the standover easy.
had a 10 proper minute test ride around Evans carpark in Trafford and loved it.Pinnacle Neon 3 20170 -
Standover has little to do with having the right size bike, you don't Standover it you ride it!
I have negative Standover on my commuter, not an issue. What matters is how it fits you when riding it.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
the Sirrus and Neon fit the same.
cost the same once discount applied.
they ride the same to me, in fact the neon feels better
The Neon has better running gear and the shop its from is 5 minute walk from work vs a 30 minute drive.Pinnacle Neon 3 20170
