It's a shame Colango bowed to market pressure and ditched the BST of the C59 in favour of these pointless press fit systems that give nothing but grief... it is a shame as it is supposed to be a quality frame and press fit is not a quality solution.

Have you tried the special Loctite compound?

Are you on WW Markyone? If so look up Calnago's c60 build thread, he details what you should do there. Greasing just temporarily disguises the issue.

Myself and a mate have both got C60's, both got them around May last year.

Mine i assembled with a smear of grease on the bearing cups and installed with a block of wood and a mallet, with the frame supported on more wood. Mine has been faultless for the time i have used it. Ultegra BB and only used in the dry (although i have been caught out in the rain a handful of times)

My mates on the other hand was installed with a press tool and started to creak like a bastard towards the end of the year. He has not long ago replaced it with another Ultegra BB and that one too has started to creak a bit. He uses his bike in all weather so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I have told him to take it out and use some blue locktite but he has not done this yet. His only creaks when he stands up.
My winter bike is exactly the same as my summer bike,,, but dirty...

Might be worth putting a wee touch of grease on the dropout arches and there's no harm in a light smear over the sides too - then really, really tightening the skewers. The wheel won't slip out regardless of the grease. I had a mare of a time with my Foil creaking. Stripped out the BB, new press fit cups with thread lock, new bearings, went round the chainring bolts and greased and tightened them. Still creaking. Turns out it was the wheels.

Its the price you pay for putting Shimano in a Colnago ;-). Some say they should be installed dry. If not then use Park anti seize rather than grease. Ive built 4 C60s using Campag BB86 cups and non of them creak. It may not be the BB. A friend brought his BMC to me saying the SRAM BB creaked, he was convinced it was the BB so I replaced it. Still creaked. Turns out it was the rear mech hanger. Just needed grease where it came in contact with the frame.

It could be something else creaking or loose such as

    Chainset
    Pedals
    Headset
    Hub
    QR
    Loose spokes on wheels.

Press fit can be a pain but more often than not does not creak.

I have a C60 and thought the creak that occurred on mine was BB. Fitted a new one, the same as the old with Loctite bearing retainer and activator. Still creaked. Old bearings were perfect. Tried chain ring bolts, skewers and everything in between.

Turned out to be my Speedplay specific Sidi Wire shoes - they have a thin metal shim which goes on the shoe before the cleat to protect the carbon sole from the metal of the pedal. These had worn significantly and were no longer perfectly flat. Removed them, cleaned them up and turned them over which helped for a few weeks, but new ones are needed and they seem out of stock just about everywhere! I think Sigma Sport have just got some in so that should sort the problem.
