I was fortunate to get early access to the Ventoux route on Road Grand Tours ( http://www.roadgrandtours.com ) so I made a short video of the top part - it's totally me pedalling too :)

Also Beta signed up... is this going to be a happier place than Zwift?
  • I got my access granted today. I can't wait to get on it to try it. :-)
  • Mine is sorted and downloaded. Takes a while but looks good.

May try it on Saturday morning as it involves moving the iMac out of the study and into the kitchen.

I have yet to ride for more than 5 mins ...... somewhere between 4m40s and 4m59s the game clock suddenly stops and what ever speed you are doing gets locked in ... so no matter how hard you pedal you do 9km/h up the hill AND 9km/h back down the other side.

Might try in on 4g tonight to see if the suspect network disconnect is my end or server side. .. but after that test I wont be using it again until the update is released ...... so far I have managed 1.7km on the Stelvio .. whoop

    the kickr snap

why do you ask ??? ... come across this before .... thing is resistance is still applied to the trainer dependant on the gradient and it still displays power .... but the speed and time are frozen

I ask in case it's an equipment mismatch, who knows. I have a Neo so will let you know how it goes on Saturday.

Since I have CX on Sunday it will be a test only!

  • Installed this last night and had a ride up the Stelvio, its obviously not as polished as Zwift but was still good fun and I got a good leg workout.
Gonna give Ventoux a blast this evening see how I get on
  • I tried it this morning. I started with Ventoux, but it froze after about 15 minutes. I kept pedaling as hard as I could but didn't make any progress (I thought for a moment I'd hit some 'Enhanced Reality' button, as I get that feeling in real life as well).

I then swapped over to Cap Formentor which went okay except for a few little bugs.

It didn't display my distance traveled, but was stuck at 0.04 km.
The speed was stuck at 13.4 km/hr.
It didn't give any display of elapsed time.

My power output seemed...how shall we say...a little optimistic. Not wildly so actually, but about 10 to 20 % higher than I'm used to on Sufferfest.

All in all I enjoyed it, I'll give it another go, but am not sure it's the solution I'm looking for.

yeah, this is the bu I am seeing, makes it unplayable ATM ... still, the tuscany patch is out this or next week I beleive, and that apparently has a potential fix in it for this
  • I tried again tonight and had another problem in that I couldn't actually start. I could pedal but it didn't stream the video and I was stuck in the same place. It did this for a while yesterday but I can't remember what I did that fixed it or if it just started.
