Hi.

My husband needs a better mountain bike. I have seen this one to buy but want to know your opinion.

Its 19" frame and 26" wheels.

Price asked is £175.

The frame is fine, I had a similar one, Marzocchi made 4 billion different Bomber models, so that doesn't really help. If they work and don't need a service they should be fine, as for the rest, impossible to say but if it all works it is probably worth roughly that. I'd offer less.

I'd rather have the Marin, but it looks smaller - I'd check the sizing.

Although his saddle looks a bit low in that picture.

You're going to struggle to do worse than his old bike.
An office chair on wheels would make a better mountain bike that that Diamond Back

If the marin fits him get it. Pretty much anything would be an upgrade on the DB.

The Marin is a decent bike, or rather was, it very much depends on the parts still being in good useable condition, if they are then it's still a decent bike, a lot better than that DB.

To really benefit he needs to put the saddle at the right height for pedaling as well.
