I am looking for help and advice on spending around £1300 on a mountain bike (preferably full suspension) that will be used frequently on trails mainly in the Lake District and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions... I am open to all ideas (new and used).

Thanks in advance

When you say “trails” do you mean cross-country or steeper, more technical ones?
If you are not doing anything too gnarcore then have a look at the Giant Anthem and for more all mountain riding try the Giant Trance. Have a search the web for deals on older models.
The 2016 Anthem available from Paul’s Cycles for £1,250, but only in L and XL.

    Giant Trance 2 27.5 2016 ¦ Sonder Broken Road 2021¦ Giant Revolt Advanced 2 2019 ¦ Giant Toughtroad SLR 1 2019 ¦ Giant Anthem 3 2015 ¦ Specialized Myka Comp FSR 2009

Thanks for the reply.. I do a mixture of both technical and cross-country trails and ill take a look at the giant anthem as L/XL is the perfect size.

Have a look at the Boardman Pro as well, superb spec for that budget.
