Which derailleur hanger?

I require a new hanger as I am convinced the one on my bike is bent. It is quite new and never been knocked dropped etc but the cage does not look in line with the cassette and does vibrate a bit in the higher gears, anyway - the bike in question is a Bianchi Oltre xr1. I have looked on various dealers pages and there are Oltre specific hangers and yet Bianchi sell one which they say is for the Oltre/Infinito/Sempre. Is it likely that they have actually been quite sensible and made a generic fit many hanger or is there a proper specific one I should be looking at? Never needed to buy hangers before so probably one thing I'm not too clued up on.

Buy a hanger checking/straightening tool first. Something like this. Even if you fit a new hanger it is a good idea to check it is straight.

Yeah, no point in putting a new one on as it won't be straight - straightness is a combination of the hanger and the frame - and it evens out the little tolerances in the manufacture of both.

Sounds like that will solve your problem.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

Just a thought but if your bike is new why not take it to the shop you bought it from and have them check the hanger, possibly for no charge.

+1 on getting it checked. Why buy a hanger if you don't know ? It could be your rear mech ?

    Online purchase!

Thing is price of new hanger = 15 quid or take it into a shop for no reason and pay a whole lot more. I don't need a shop to replace it, I built the bike myself so unhappy all the components are good. I am
Just unsure as to which hanger is the correct replacement part. Waiting to hear back from Bianchi now anyway.

as above, you'll still need to check/align things after fitting a new hanger

btw rd cages do not necessarily pivot parallel to the plane of the wheel, sram etap is very noticeably different, which makes it unwise to eyeball the rd to assess alignment
