Hi,

I managed to BEND 3 or 4 teeth on the outer ring of my "FSA Omega MegaExo Crankset" and it needs replacing. Can't find the ring anywhere any more as it has gone out of production and I do feel like upgrading the parts slowly anyway.

However instead of replacing the whole drive train (chain set, cassette, levers etc) can I just swap out the existing chain set for a "Shimano 105 5800 Chainset" [http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-105-5800-chainset/] with the same measurements?

I would then replace the cassette next, etc, etc

Thank you!
Nik C

Outer rings from older FSA cranksets are either 110 of 130 mm BCD, why should that be a problem, still plenty available.
