BC discount at CRC...

Hi
Despite being a BC member for a while I think I've only ever used my 10% CRC discount once, probably due to the £99 min spend rule.

I've just found a couple of bits I want - value is £125 combined, but my unique BC code keeps getting rejected (the latest code for July). Do they not allow you to use the 10% code against already reduced items?

    They have in the past, I bought a half price drivetrain and the code worked for me a while back. Maybe the terms have changed since then. I would check with BC as it may simply be an issue with the code for this month being incorrect.

    You need to be logged into your CRC account before checkout, otherwise code is rejected. The problem is that once the code is rejected, it is logged as having been used by CRC, so you can't just go back and log in.
    You should contact CRC and explain what's happened. They have retrospectively discounted an order for me in the past.

    You should contact CRC and explain what's happened. They have retrospectively discounted an order for me in the past.
    Cheers. That's a pain, as i think the item I was interested in was the last one in stock. Might order any way and see if they'll honour the 10%...

    Yep deffo need to be logged in, though I have tried several times, and only then logged in, and it's worked for me everytime.

    Weird thing was it did show as an extra discount, then went back up to the increased price at the review page before pressing my payment option. No amount or logging out and logging back in makes the code work though. have emailed customers services last night but response yet - anyone have experience of their speed of customer service?

    I had this last week. I was not logged in, added items into basket, added code - discount showed fine. Then during checkout, I had to log in and doing so wiped the code off my basket and it wouldnt then let me use it because it had already been used according to their system. I am sure I had this a year or so back too.

    Placed the order anyway, emailed them and they credited back the discount that should have been on there.

    [edit] - they emailed me back just under an hour from when I emailed them.

    I recently contacted them through their website contact page about something. A few days later I'd had no response. A quick tweet moved things along. Although my issue (parts missing from an item I'd ordered) was resolved to my satisfaction it did take longer than I'd anticipated - almost 2 weeks from start to finish.

    ...they've emailed back for screenshots of my BC code, and my basket showing the error message. I've sent them both so given comments above, looking hopeful....

    EDIT: refund now processed - great customer service.... :)
