I have the option to buy a 2012 Scott Spark Pro (29er) for £650. The bike is a couple of years old now and looks in fairly work condition, however, looking at the original RRP seems a fairly good deal after a service and a bit of TLC.

What are your thought? Is there anything I should look out for in this model?

Many thanks

Good sound XC bike that will cope with rougher trails perfectly well, ideal for longer rides, real mile muncher, single pivot design of course but the linkage driven shock works well.

For and shock condition are more important than the driver train which would mostly be cheaper to fix.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
