Abus U Lock

I've mounted an Abus Granit X-Plus https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... UTF8&psc=1 on the frame of a Cube SL Road Pro.

It's a sturdy lock and mount but it rattles where the shackle slots in to the crossbar of the lock.

There doesn't seem to be a fix for this.

Is this normal? Has anyone had the same problem?

I can only find glowing reviews online and no mention of this issue.

Thanks in advance.

generically, if there's a rattle you could try wrapping with insulating tape, might be enough to cure it, though over time you'd probably need to remove and redo as it gets worn

Buy some stick-on rubber strip, or one side of stick-on Velcro.
Condor Super Acciaio, Record, Deda, Pacentis.
Curtis 853 Handbuilt MTB, XTR, DT Swiss and lots of Hope.
Genesis Datum Gravel Bike, Pacentis (again).
    Genesis Equilibrium Disc, 105 & H-Plus-Son.

    Mostly Steel.

To clarify, it's where the ends of the shackle (pins) lock in to the crossbar sockets where it's rattling.
