SKS Rennkompressor Hose

Hi,
Anyone replaced the hose on one of these before? I cannot unscrew it at the base, I've tried some WD40 to loosen it and nothing. If I try and use pliers to get a grip on the end it just fouls the metal ridges.
Am I missing a trick?
Cheers

You'll probably need some good vise grip pliers to get a good grip on it. Of course this will leave some marks but still useable. If you're just replacing the hose you can easily remove the pressed on metal clamp with a screwdriver, chisel, etc., which will leave you with a nice hose nipple and you can use a jubilee clamp for the new hose and you won't need to remove the brass piece.0

Cheers for the advice - I have a replacement hose and EVA head as I am tired of the head I have on there. Can I just cut the hose under the head and fit to the new head or am I better replacing the whole thing?
thanks0 -
i'd have thought you'd be able to replace the head without cutting the hose
you certainly can with the eva head
otherwise, yes you can cut the hose and put the new head onmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
