First time with integrated headset - Should it be this loose
I'm just starting to build up a Planet X London Road and the headset bearings seem very loose. They drop in and out easily, and have play once in place, see this video.

Bottom bearing is very similar.
The bearings sit on a taper, so I can see there's a possibility with some pressure from the top cap everything will sit firm, but I'm concerned that actually I'm always going to have a loose headset and no way of adjusting.
What are your thoughts? Any experience of the same issue?

Looks okay to me. Once you've preloaded them there shouldn't be any issue. If you still have play after that then that would be a problem.I'm left handed, if that matters.0

Whether the bearings lay in cups, pressed in the frame or directly in the similar formed headtube doesn't really matter, it works all the same.0

Thanks for the feedback. Went to fit the crown race and noticed one of the mudguard bosses on the fork is filled with some kind of foam/resin. Now dealing with PlanetX customer service on resolving that0
