Using Google Photos

Is anybody else using Google Photos to embed images in their posts. If so, how the feck do you do it please. I ask because I have started having issues with my usual Flickr account and when I try to log on, it goes to my BT Internet account rather than Flickr. I haven't been able to resolve it yet and therefore wanted to use Google until it's sorted.

I have tried the following:

Google Photos
Selected the 'Share' button
Selected 'Get Link' buton
Copied displayed link

BR 'Post a New Topic'

Selected 'Img' button
Pasted above link between the 2 Img brackets

I thought that was job done but it doesn't seem to work!

Any help much appreciated either to resolve the Flickr or Google Photo issue - cheers.

Haven't managed to work it out - the Google pics links isn't an img so it won't work.

I end up uploading to Flickr anyway and using that link.

So hopefully someone knows.

Cheers for that but, as I say, Flickr is also giving me issues at the moment.

That's using Google pics.
Opened the pic, right clicked and copied image address, then added ?.jpg to the end of the url.

And pretty sheep appears.

All I see is the word 'Image' which is the exact result that I got in the first place and which prompted my original post. As an aside, I'm also a bit concerned over the use of 'pretty' in the sheep context.

Oh well, so it doesn't work. I can see the pic, but just so you're not too disappointed, be honest, don't we make a lovely couple?



She's a Scottish sheep as well, lovely accent.

Worryingly, yes you do make a lovely couple! No judging from me - what you two choose to do in the privacy of your own field is nobodies business but your own.

For some forums, using goo.gl to shorten the huge URL helps, but it is still a temporary solution of ~24 hours.
