Hi all. Having been away from the MTB scene for a good few years I am now back in the market for a new bike. My last bike was an on one 456 and previously owned a Heckler. My work are offering the C2W scene through Halfords or Tredz.
Seriously considering an Orange Clockwork, anyone have one / ridden one or have an opinion on them?

looking for a decent hardtail bike to ride some trail centres and sherwood pines with my 11yr old boy. Im also confused by the 29ér / 27.5 scenario. What happened to 26"wheels? I assume 29ér is the way to go?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Thanks

The Clockwork is OK, but pretty poor value for the money.

29 and 27.5 are different, 27.5 (1" bigger diameter than 26") has replaced 26", 29" still roll better but aren't as nimble although fork geometry changes have helped that.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
