Marin trail or something else?

My daughter (11) and I are on a school walking trip up Snowdon next Saturday, and as we are camping we thought we would take the MTBs and go for a ride before heading back on the Sunday. We are staying near Betwys-y-Coed.

I rode the Marin trail once over 10 years ago but I don't remember much about it! We could ride the Marin trail, or what else is there nearby trail wise?

Even though she is young my daughter has ridden Afan this year (Whites and The Wall) and rides Swinley regularly. So we don't want beginner trails but equally nothing too hardcore either. The aim is a bit of Dad/Daughter time to enjoy some riding.

Any tips would be gratefully received.

Llandegla is about an hour east of Betws-y-coed.
The blue trail is a decent ride and there's a good cafe there for post ride drinks and grub.

    What about 'Penmachno'.
I stayed nr Bettws y coed about 10yrs ago and did that and Marin.
I seem to remember that Penmachno is about 7 or 8m away from ByC and was a similar grading.

We ended up going to Llandegla and had a great time. We did the red with a couple of black bits, and really enjoyed ourselves. apart from a couple of nobs who were hooning it down the trails, came upon my daughter (who was not hanging around) and cut her up on the inside of a turn almost pushing her off the trail.
