If you're travelling in central London on Wednesday 21 June, the main transport changes are:
Road closures around St James's Park, Parliament Square, Whitehall and Victoria Street
Possible road closures from Southwark Bridge to Victoria and from Vauxhall to Pall Mall and Trafalgar Square
Significant delays to journeys across central London on roads which remain open, like Grosvenor Place, Park Lane, Euston Road, the Strand and Stamford Street - journeys could take twice as long
Central London bus routes will be diverted or terminate early
Utility works resume in the area on Thursday 22 June - find out more at the Parliament Square works travel advice page.
Driving
You won't be able to drive in areas around St James' Park, Parliament Square, Whitehall and Victoria Street.
You may also be affected by closures in a wider area including Victoria Embankment, Blackfriars Underpass, Millbank, Trafalgar Square and Westminster Bridge. Expect significant delays to your journey if you are travelling in areas around these closed roads.
Road closures: 07:45 to early evening
The following roads will be closed during the day:
Bridge Street (from 03:00)
Whitehall
Parliament Square and approaches including Victoria Street eastbound from Artillery Row and Millbank northbound from Lambeth Bridge
St James's Park and all its access roads (Constitution Hill, Spur Road, The Mall, Marlborough Road and Birdcage Walk)
Roads will re-open as soon as possible after the event.
To avoid the road closures, we recommend you drive around central London using the Inner Ring Road, and allow extra time for your journey.
Cycling
There will be no access to the East-West Cycle Superhighway between Westminster Bridge and Hyde Park Corner on Wednesday 21 June from 00:01-17:00. Please seek alternative routes.
Also, busy roads may make it difficult for us to service Santander Cycles docking stations near the route. Check availability of Santander Cycles using the online docking station map, or visit our cycling section for full information on cycling in London.
