A mate that I run with has asked my advice on the Viner Settanta, if it's worth the money and if it's any good and to be honest I haven't go a clue.
He seems to think because I cycle I'm the font of all knowledge and I should know everything about bikes.

He's looking to upgrade from his current bike as he is getting more involved with the local triathlon club, he's got some money to spend and wants an aero bike.

Opinions, other options and thoughts would be appreciated.

That's the one, I must admit it does look very nice. The only problem I'd have with it is the Planet X connection, I'd much prefer to buy from a "proper" bike shop. Would I be right in saying it's not an Italian Viner, just something that carries the Viner name ?

I think they bought the name after the original company had gone bust, similar to Sports Direct buying the Karrimor brand. It's possibly an "open mould" frame that they've stuck a badge onto. Not the quality of an original Viner, but probably represents good value for your money.
