Pretty new to the road cycling scene and bombing around on a Btwin triban 300 which is fine for now, but I'm liking it a lot so far, a couple of things though, I still like the disc brakes on my hybrid and I like the wider tyres, it just gives me more confidance on the desents. I've been looking at bikes which can take wider tyres and have disc brakes, also carbon framed for climbing as it's hilly where I live and wanted 11-32 on the rear if possible, value for money is also on the cards.
Narrowed it down to these 3, opinions?

I know the btwin is aluminium btw

Out of those bikes the Ribble appears to only be a SS cage, so 28 at the rear is probably the most you could get away with. From memory you would want the GS cage for broader range of cassettes. It does have the 50/34 as apposed to the 52/36 and 11/28 of the Boardman.
Carbon doesn't really help on hills. You may find you get more benefit out of having more appropriate gearing (so the 32 rear). I have a 6kg carbon road bike and a 9kg alu road bike. The biggest differentiating factor I have found is the wheels and then the geometry. There is very little difference in my average speeds between the two.
Going to muddy the waters now, but have you also checked the clearances on those three bikes to see what tyres can fit? I have a Trek Domane that has an 11/32 cassette, hydraulic disc's and can also take 33mm knobbly tyres. I would suggest you need to ensure that the bikes you are looking at meet the important parts of your criteria (wide tyres and broad range cassette, even though its not overly expensive to install a longer reach cage)
I'd have a look at Canyon AL range as well and see if any of those meet your requirements, if there's any you like what until the TDF starts as there is sometimes a sale then.

on the bike builder you can specify 28mm on the ribble, wouldn't want to go bigger anyway as got the hybrid for that. Def want a sportive/endurance geometry though.

If you choose the 'climber' spec on the groupset it gives 11-32 with GS cage. The ribble with the 105 climber groupset with hydraulic brakes would be my choice out of those 3 but you're getting up to almost £1,500 then.

Have you looked at Cube Attain range? Carbon or Ali they are worth a look.
