Updating a Garmin 510

Hi,
How can I update my Garmin 510 without connecitng it to a PC? I dont have a PC anymore (only Android Smart Phone and Tablet) and its looking for an upgrade.

    I think, though im not 100%, if you have a smart phone you can do it via bluetooth through the garmin connect app.

    My 1000 updates via my smartphone/Bluetooth. I would imagine it should be the same for the 510, can't say for sure though.

    Only newer models can update over BT, 510 as far as I know has to be via Garmin Express on a PC.

    I think its PC only too. My 810 syncs with garmin connect over bluetooth and the app tells me about firmware updates but it isn't capable of actually doing them.

    An OTG cable might allow you to explore the Edge from your phone - if it does, a trip to http://gawisp.com/perry/edge/ download the firmware of choice and push it into the Garmin folder on your Edge (rename it to GUPDATE.GCD) - this is the Express-free way to update...
