What bike?

Hi All,
I would like your advice! I am currently looking at 3 bikes as possible new rides.
They are:
2017 Scott Spark 710 Plus
2017 Whyte T130 CRS
2016 Santa Cruz 5010 cc XT with BOS 140mm AM fork (Ex-Demo)
All bikes are in Large size. I am 5ft 11inches and weigh around 98kgs. I plan to demo them all (although the Whyte demo bike is in non carbon RS form).
I am getting back into MTB after quite few years, but my main riding will be trails such as Swinley Forest, following trails in the countryside etc, although i would like a bike that can cope at bike parks in Wales occasionally. I would also like to use the bike for a longer ride 1 to 2 times a year such as coast to coast. I will never ride really extreme stuff (i'll never be that good!).
Thoughts welcome!

Another option could be the Scott Genius 710 Plus carbon 2016.I wonder if the 2017 Spark 710 Plus is worth the extra £1100 for my purposes? Heavily reduced here: http://www.hargrovescycles.co.uk/scott- ... oCCvPw_wcB0 -
Those are all pretty expensive bikes and I doubt many people have ridden enough of them to make a comparison.
Sounds like a lot of money and bike for how you are planning on using it.I don't do smileys.

Out of that lot I would go for the Whyte. However, as cooldad says, that's a lot of bike for your intended usage. You could spend half of what most of those bikes cost and get a perfectly good bike for XC and the odd trail centre trip.“Life has been unfaithful

Thanks for the reply.
I know I don't need a bike this expensive (and I appreciate i may end up fitting the bill for the guy with "all the gear and no idea"), but I have the money to spend on one. The only reason I wouldn't is if there was literally no difference between these bikes and a cheaper bike. Is that the case? Is a 5010 cc going to climb no more easily than a less-than-£2000 bike which can also descend as well as the 5010? (and even if it can, will it look as schnazzy?!). I plan to get better and fitter and to ride regularly, so I may as well have a bike which I can grow into. Also, I will probably be hitting a trail centre 2 to 4 times a month and then somewhere more tricky like Bike Park Wales 4 times a year.
What makes you say the Whyte?
I'd be interested to hear any experience of an of the bikes I listed.0 -
I own a Whyte T130 yari and it's been an absolute blast to own. I ride mainly in the Peaks and it'll happily soak up anything there.0
