New road bike - circa 2k what's best ?

Hi guys, I'm looking for some advice on a new bike
I have been mountin biking for 5/6 years now and last year bought my first road bike, now having that bug as well, I wanting to upgrade
I currently have a Kinesis, which I've had for 18 odd months
So I have been looking at the following and any impartial advice would be greatly appreciated
I'm looking at around the 2k mark - so far I've been looking at the following, but doesn't mean that I am restricted to either

Also whether it's recommended in going for just a little bit more cash for discs ?
