Help with bottom bracket identification
I want to replace my bottom bracket as it's getting a bit crunchy, but am having issues identifying which type of bottom bracket I have. I have a Giant 2013 defy 1, with a Shimano FC-R565 crank.
Some websites suggest it's a hollotech 2 with that crank, but I have a hollowtech 2 on my mountain bike and my Giant doesn't seem to have anything between the bottom bracket shell and the crank whereas my mountain bike does have that external cup next to the BB shell). This makes me think it's an integrated/press fit bottom bracket - would this be right?
If so, what would I need to look for when searching for a new bottom bracket, and how could I change it over? I've changed my mountain bike hollowtech BB numerous times so wonder if this would be as easy, and if any special tools are needed?

It'll be BB86 - simply bash it out, but need to use a press to install.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Tool for bashing: (moving swiftly on, as Carlton Kirby would say...)

For pressfiting, various tools available, all expensive, thus created my own using bolts and washers.
• Bolt: M20, 120mm long
• Nuts: M20, 2 no.
• Washers:
• Guide (inside cups) M20 form A (21mm ID, 37mm OD)
• Press (bears on cups) M20 Form G (21mm ID, 60mm OD)
Above is for Campag Ultratorque BB86, but you get the gist: you can make your own. I have used https://www.lasermaster.co.uk/ several times, great service from them.0
