I would quite like a bike in full zebra ..... do you think a matching kit would be overkill ?

One on left, no. Other two look good.

Big fan of the likes of Tic CC, Morvelo, Huez, Attaquer etc making distinctive kit (and good quality). Much more interesting than the likes of Castelli/Assos/Rapha.

Why are Morvelo "hipster"? And I should add (in my opinion) hipster is not a compliment.

Everyone wears Castelli or Rapha because they can't think or choose for themselves...

wasn't zebra patterning used as a kind of camouflage in world war II? seems like a good idea for cycling kit!

it only worked because everything was black and white in WWII ..... now its all in colour so would stand out quite well

ah .... the interwebs says this on zebra markings :-

Zebras use the same technique, but this time the entire herd merges into one huge zebra that is much more intimidating and confusing to lions and cheetahs

so if EVERY cyclist wore zebra stripes we would appear as one giant cyclist and cars would keep away

Dazzle camouflage that would be, used mainly on naval vessels in WW1 and a bit in the early part of WW2 idea being viewed through a periscope or binoculars it was harder to work out the size distance and direction of travel, and in group it became harder to work out what ships were there and how many etc.
No real evidence it worked or not but it was tried.

I think you ve got to be

    A) Good looking

    and

    B) Hot

I have a mate (don't tell him I said this) who is a lot of B and quite a lot of A and he can pull them off - his Instagram feed is nauseating.

    I cannot...

I think the jerseys are fine, so long as they're worn with plain black shorts.

Yes. I thought hipsters were eagerly awaiting the Vulpine clearout to get their cycle specific Harrington jackets and argyle socks

I can imagine Taylor Phinney choosing some of the Morvelo designs.

In my opinion none of them are hipster cycling jerseys. A hipster looks like a bearded lumberjack who's lost his axe and rides a fixie like a dangerous tosser who gives cyclists a bad name. ( I wait to be corrected)

  • I thought hipsters rode a single speed , fixed is too difficult for them , they only want to pretend to be cool.
The rear wheel must be different colour and a crappy satchel bag is suitable . The word tosser cannot be stressed enough!

. The word tosser cannot be stressed enough!

Especially when jumping red lights, going the wrong way down a one way street or on the pavement when its busy with pedestrians in a city centre. Its because of them, the Daily Mail readership wants us to die.
