I have a De Rosa SK pinafarina frame. it calls for a bb386 evo bottom bracket. I want to put a Shimano Di2 groupset on it. I need help with the bottom bracket. Wheels mfg makes a bottom bracket that you can by some adapters that can be hammered in to step down to install the shimano. Is this the best solution?

Also the bottom bracket is just pure carbon, no metal cups or anything. will the bottom bracket need to be glued in with adhesive?

Are there any other companies that make a specific bb386 to shimano converter? I looked at chris king and praxis and a few others but everything I saw was bb30 to shimano? I just don't want to buy the wrong thing and I also don't want to just go to the bike shop and say "just build this"
thanks

Can you not leave the current crank in place? Sell on the Shimano crank?

I got a Rotor BB to convert my BB386 EVO down to take the 3D24 crankset. I'm sure they do something similar. But why not retain the BB386 crankset as Meanredspider suggests?
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Why? It's kind of what they're there for.

I have a Kuota with a BB386 Evo BB and am running a Shimano 6800 chainset, the BB I used is a Rotor one.

I got mine supplied and fitted by my LBS but it works flawlessly.
