Hi all,
Currently building up a Fairlight Cycles Strael frameset at the moment and I've spec'd most parts (e.g. Running Deda Superzero throughout); but the problem I'm having at the moment is what wheels to get?
I have a budget of £400 to spend on them and the only things are that they need to be centerlock, QR compatible with hub dimensions being 100mm front and 135mm rear; does anybody have any suggestions?
Currently it's between the DT Swiss R32 Spline Disc wheels and the Fulcrum Racing 5 LG Disc wheels as these are the only ones I've found that match my price bracket, so if anyone could help or suggest expanding the price bracket (for example) to find the right pair that would be fine, thank you.
EDIT 1 little note is that I'll be running 33mm tires on this bike for bikepacking/ road riding, cheers!

I'd recommend the Hunt disc wheels. I've had a couple of sets and they've been great. Pretty light for the price and absolutely faultless for me.
They're also tubeless ready and are compatible with most axle set ups with some adaptors.0 -
Hunt.
I'm about to order a pair myself for a new disc bike. They seem popular in bikepacking circles as well fwiw2012 Cube Agree GTC0 -
Does it need to be centerlock? (Wider choice of discs in 6-bolt & wider choice of wheels...)0

I've got a set of Fulcrum R5 centerlock I'm looking to sell. The rear is brand new and the front has been ridden about 1500km. I'm open to offers if you're interested0

Or in practice no choice.. .as they are all the same shoot. Whereas you can "upgrade" to some Shimano Freeza, which only come in centrelockleft the forum March 20230 -
